FACT of the Da Vinci Code

FACT:

The Priory of Sion—a European secret society founded in 1099—is a real organization. In 1975 Paris's Bibliothèque Nationale discovered parchments known as Les Dossiers Secrets, identifying numerous members of the Priory of Sion, including Sir Isaac Newton, Botticelli, Victor Hugo, and Leonardo da Vinci.

The Vatican prelature known as Opus Dei is a deeply devout Catholic sect that has been the topic of recent controversy due to reports of brainwashing, coercion, and a dangerous practice known as "corporal mortification." Opus Dei has just completed construction of a $47 million World Headquarters at 243 Lexington Avenue in New York City.

All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are accurate.

the program

was ment to unveil some of the secrets stated in the book. It has been great, really; but apparently it turns out to be all fake!

Who knows believe or not...maybe yes, maybe no...but Dan Brown refused to appear in the program. That was interesting too

Re: Dan Brown refused to appear in the program

I think he's had enough publicities thanks to Vatican ...

Up to Page 563 and Chapter 103, the book does not seem to disappoint. But the ending is probably not what everyone has in mind.

Has anyone listened to the audio version of The Da Vinci Code?

I was surprised that unfitting to its mega-selling status, the production of its audiobook was so bad that only one person does all of the voices. The narrator's French accents are straight out of Pepe Le Peau and Inspector Closeau. The male voices are low and guttural, and the "female" voicesa, cartoonish.

To be or not to be: that is the question, whether tis nobler in the mind to
suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune.

Becomes:

In one of the Bard's best-thought-of tragedies, our insistent hero, Hamlet,
queries on two fronts about how life turns rotten.

And the grand finale:

A thin man ran; makes a large stride; left planet, pins flag on moon! On to
