Who knew our "moral values" didn't include war?

CD moderators, where is my post with a picture?

I posted yesterday, and still not out??? It fits perfectly to this thread --

An American was asking: Why I didn't know that "moral values" didn't include war?!

Top universities. . . .

Of the top 25 US universities, only two are in the red:
Washington University, St. Louis; and, Duke University in
North Carolina. Glad to see others have seen the educational
parallel.

A few years ago, I did an experiment...

...this was back in the Bush/Gore elections -- not the more recent ones.

I gave my Chinese students a hand-out with the stand of both candidates on the issues -- all the issues -- economics, foreign affairs, family values/morality, education, environment, etc.  -- the typical comparison sheet you'd often see in many American newspapers around voting time.

Except I blanked out the name of the candidates -- so they didn't know which one was Bush and which one was Gore.  All they knew were the issues and where each man stood.

I then asked them to vote for Candidate "A" or Candidate "B."

Guess who they voted for?????

When I told them that the majority had just voted for Bush, they were surprised.  We then explored what reasons they had for voting for that candidate -- it turned out that family values/morality and foreign affairs topped the list.
