It is not uncommon for anyone whose mind is high above the clouds and eyes could not see what is beneath, the danger of stepping a self installed mine exists.

No reason to bite the hand that feeds you!

Sen. Ted Cruz told CNBC on Wednesday that the National Basketball Association should not bow to pressure from China, following the fallout over a tweet by the general manager of the Houston Rockets supporting the Hong Kong protests.

The condemnation in China over Daryl Morey’s now-deleted tweet on Friday was swift, as Chinese partners with the NBA cut or suspended ties with the league.

Cruz, a Republican from Texas, said on “Squawk Box” that he can see why the NBA wants to quell the fervor in China, which is said to have 600 million fans of the league. That’s nearly double the entire population of the United States.

“We’ve seen the NBA falling all over itself to back track, and everyone understands why. There’s big money in China. The NBA and NBA teams make a whole lot money; broadcasting in China, having [online] subscriptions in China, having fans there,” he said. “But that being said, this really shows how China tries to use economic coercion and blackmail to get American companies to engage in censorship.”

Speaking with CNBC from Taiwan on a stop on an Indo-Pacific trip, Cruz said the NBA should not be an “arm of Chinese censorship” by being too apologetic “because that exports their repressive policies and regime to the United States and globally.”

This is another white nut sitting in the white house and enjoying global flights from public funds. Was he in Taiwan to stir up another mindless protest in case the upcoming election in Taiwan ( a renegade province of China ) goes against the wishes of the USA ?

Fly over to Hong Kong to investigate the extends of damages ( moral value, physical and collateral ) ,  caused to it but not to evilly exploit and sabotage the crisis. Else, shut-up and get back to your home to preach about your freedom and democracy for all your stupid talks across the fences ( sour grapes )  are about interfering in the affairs of other nations that do not obey your " US rules of cowboy laws".  You insane guys have had caused too much bloodsheds and crisis in this world since post-WW2 in which you Ted should be very ashamed of in the first place.

Good too to see ZEDD and SOUTH PARK go up in smoke in China as well for being insensible and irrational at a time of Hong Kong crisis !  Talking like Ted Cruz is not going to be well and good for businesses with any other nations that the US dirty and ugly politicians are intended to upset similar to how the USA is imposing economic sanctions and threats of wars against nations that disobey its rules of cowboy laws.

"interfering in the affairs of other nations"

So broadcasting and playing NBA games in China is interfering with that country ? I thought that such coverage was extremely popular in China.
