(People's Daily) Daryl Morey, general manager of the American basketball team the Houston Rockets, has been bombarded with criticism from Chinese fans after he sent a tweet in support of the mobs and chaos in Hong Kong. Morey posted an image reading “Fight for freedom, stand with Hong Kong” on Saturday, while Tilman Fertitta, owner of Houston Rockets, swiftly distanced his team from Morey’s inappropriate remarks. Be that as it may, Morey should have known his position and influence as the team’s general manager better.

Chinese basketball fans have taken to social media to express their discontent over Morey’s tweet, calling for the general manager’s resignation. In recent years, the Rockets have been gaining popularity and profit in China, with Morey being one of the biggest beneficiaries. Running with the hare and hunting with the hounds, Morey’s remarks have surely infuriated the Chinese fans.

There are plenty of people who share Morey’s double-faced attitudes towards China in the United States. Not long ago, when I went to an NBA show, I was warmly welcomed by the manager. Though he was full of praise for the enormous potential of the Chinese market, he had little interest in the needs of Chinese. I would not be surprised if he made similar remarks regarding Hong Kong as Morey did.

There are three reasons why Morey and his type hold biased opinions on Hong Kong’s current situation.

There are some misleading accusations circulating in some Western media that have played a vital role. Ever since the beginning of the Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Protests, the constant barrage of western reports has glorified the mobs attacking police as heroes, stigmatizing the law keepers as villains. Many pictures used by US media outlets have contradicted the facts. For instance, the brutal and violent attacks on police officers have been largely neglected, while their legal self-defense has been grossly exaggerated. It is hard to find images of mobs chasing and harming the police, though a mob’s “kneeling-down-before-the-police” performance has been rendered excessively by western media outlets. Such selective reports would surely misguide the public.

Bias and prejudice against China have provided a hotbed for such selective reports. For many Americans, the western methods are the best solution for state governance, while the Chinese system, totally different from its western counterparts, is deemed as a rebel against orthodoxy. Such biased reports can satisfy many readers, while those who impartially speak for China will be tagged as “pro-communism” types. In recent years, many American politicians, by fair means or foul, have made great effort to tarnish China’s image, forging the American society’s prejudice against China.

Western hypocrisy is also a contributing factor. Leaders in the sports, business as well as financial industries and more that side with Morey are all profit-driven. Though always talking about democracy and freedom, it is the financial benefits that they are really craving for. They would do anything to become rich, let it be lies, blackmails, or bullying. There are those American entrepreneurs who have earned a great fortune in China yet still stand with the US politicians in the trade war against China, they are good examples.

Hong Kong is an inseparable part of China. The Chinese blockbuster, My people, My country, has moved countless Chinese audiences to tears because of the scene in the movie depicting the return of Hong Kong to China in 1997. Chinese people have gone through hard times, and we firmly believe that the time when China was humiliated by Western powers is long gone. Any attempt to challenge our strategy of One Country, Two Systems, or China’s national sovereignty, shall not be tolerated. Those like Morey should clearly understand that there is no way to enjoy the benefit from the Chinese market while challenging the country’s bottom line at the same time!

Please do UNDERSTAND that majority of US citizens are ignorant about others inclusive of their neighbors!

Daryl Morey is perhaps Bozo - The Greatest Clown on Earth who wants attention from China!

He may have been like other US citizens who will tell you that capital of Japan is Kyoto!

No laughter, please! Most US citizens do not study geography!

The Houston Rockets reportedly  signed some lucrative deals with  Chinese sponsors like Tencent, through which The Rockets and  Morey himself are  given a chance to make out like a bandit financially. For good measure, there are no signs that the most influential news outlets in America are going to take  Morey  to task, regardless of their political leanings.  Morey 's odds of getting sacked are also negligible according to Fox Sports, which reported that The Rockets' management had" refuted the Ringer report indicating that  Morey's job is in jeopardy."

Make no mistake, some contrarian black folk might come out chuntering on about  issues related to racial prejudice.  Stephen A. Smith, who's a black sports anchor working at ESPN,  did that and castigated Morey on ESPN, saying it would be wrong for Morey to incense China on this issue, allowing for NBA's financial interests in China. Yet it would be wrong to assume that such black people would want to go to bat for China; they just want to use a chance like this to fulminate against whiteness and raise awareness of the fact that most owners of NBA clubs are white.

I don't even watch NBA games anymore.

This article spells out nicely the heinous activities of so many notorious US politicians behind the scene acting as the well branded " DARK HANDS " in the Far East  Asia, if not he whole of Asia. Look at he list below herein:

Senators from Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., to Marco Rubio, R-Fla., found common ground in piling on the NBA for its handling of a tweet from Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey.

Other senators, including Republicans Ben Sasse of Nebraska, Rick Scott of Florida, Ted Cruz of Texas and Josh Hawley of Missouri, and Democrats Brian Schatz of Hawaii and Ron Wyden of Oregon, have criticized the NBA since Sunday.

At least three Democratic presidential candidates — entrepreneur Andrew Yang, former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. — also criticized China for trying to curb Morey’s criticism and the NBA for yielding to Beijing’s pressure

All these notorious US politicians and entrepreneurs plus of course the double-tongue NBA bosses are up for short term fames and fortunes whether black, dark, brownish or white by uttering things in the air. The quality of this group or kind of US folks has indeed fallen off from their horsebacks to the drains, so terribly naïve and stupid to be fooled by a tiny little " Joshua wRong - yellow nut who was a son from an escaped SouthViet-US loser refugee's parents who settled in HK, China. Grown up so ungratefully and devilishly to be supported by heinous US politicians to subvert China thru HK while being accepted by the USA ".  This really spells the mentally of stupid US politicians who have taken side with this bugsy yellow nut whilst being blinded by actualities.

"South Park" program should NOT be entitled to earn Chinese money at all too similar to Daryl Morey, general manager and his superiors of the American basketball team, the Houston Rockets. Regardless,  those entire teams of similar characters of the USA ought to be banned in China and to stop them from earning Chinese money as well as listing them as "national security threats". Notice that their so-called apologies in whatever forms are purely "WHITE LIES" trying to gain Chinese pardons in order to rack in Chinese money to the tune of USD$ billions !  Chinese folks must not be sucked in again and again !

It is definitely nothing wrong with this move by copying the democratic styles of the USA vowing freedom to delist and list on concerns of Human Rights threats to Chinese people.

For REAL SUPPORT, Daryl Morey should have taken his head hard against the wall in front of the live telecast!
Then, he will be the real revolutionist!
Otherwise, please do not show that he has no guts to do anything drastic than just writing graffiti on himself!
Amercians are good at these days!
