Many would have read the news that the organizer of the protests in Hong Kong are now in Taiwan saying that they are there to seek their support, really? The reason for them to be there are to seek ayslum in the eventually that Chinese troops had to step in to intervene. The present administration is also seen to give them their support and the eventual aylsum is a way these protesters get an assurance that they have a place to go if needed without the fear of being send back to face the law.
Already many have clearly in mind to seek a much more than what most think it about just simply blocking the law for those arrested to be send back to China. It is all about an self reliance and independence that they are aiming for now. That is the main reason why they are in Taiwan because they both share a common objective, independence.
This is the main reason why the then Deng Xiaoping act upon the Tiananmen Square. That is the reason why the unrest then had to be stop to avoid a breakup in China. What Deng Xiaoping did was right and totally support his action then to keep China intact. Just because Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev fall for the statement make by Ronald Regan for perestroika and glasnot, do not means that China had to flow it. China should change and can change but take its time to change and not the way the world wanted it to change but as and when they deem fit finding the best time to do it. Until then the world should adopt to what China is now and accept that facts. Not for Hong Kong sake and neither for Taiwan too.

They are running away leaving the rest of the "followers" in the lurch to face the music. This kind of incidents have happened again and again but there are still naive people who are conned into their schemes.

The HK chief Executive should not have withdraw the extradition law. Look at the present situation, she withdrawn and yet the protest as they still demand the other four condition. Giving in is by no means a way to settle the problem/s and it will make the future more difficult to settle if you do not seed to all their demands.

The present chief executive and whoever become the next one and even China and the central government will be held hostage whenever their is an impasse in the future. If you don't do what they say they will repeat the same old nonsense again.
The threat will set in as a way to get China and the chief executive on their knee. The worst of all others will follow suit. This will be the China and the Central Government Achilles' heel.
