Carrie Lam, all talk, no action!! Considering the number of protesters and rioters in the thousands, the number actually arrested only a few dozens! And, "She wants to lock up those protestors in jail for life"? Not that easy, she must go through due process in court, and the court probably would not grant her her wish to imprison rioters for life! So, where is the deterrent?
Two of your threads had been deleted, "Hong Kong Govt to send protesters to Xinjiang" and "China labels US existential threat", both are fake news! Hope you stop posting fake news on Forum, learn your lesson. If it's your opinion, say so, don't present it like the authorities said so! That is very irresponsible, and misleading!
"She wants to lock up those protestors in jail for life"
Another silly opinion of yours, not Carrie Lam's, because she knows that is impossible, no HK judge would send rioters to life imprisonment! Again, please don't put words in other peoples' mouths, say it is your opinion!

pnp, you should read the news, you lazy bum.
Carrier Lam officially said the protestors are destroy ...
I'd argue that would be a self-defeating move. More irate local inhabitants would join such protests if Lam were to adjure the cops to arrest such dissenters. Doing that would draw international opprobrium to boot. I'd venture to say that foreign news outlets would be delighted to find the kerfuffle morphing into a grisly scene that you find in a horror flick-which is to say, fodder for foreign journalists who are psyched to cover such "bloody" scenes.
A better solution would be to ask Lam to step down and find another brainy sobersides to replace her, say, someone who swears fealty to one country, two systems policy, whilst allowing paupers to give voice to the fear that they are reduced to living in living in penury and poky digs.
