So Trish Regan chickened out at the last moment and there was no live-streamed debate on CGTN.

There was only kitchen talk on the issue of stolen testosterone from American men by the Chinese.

What did you expect?  do you really believe the emotional liar didn't know she was lying?  The New England prep school Trish went to obviously taught her how to tell a lie without blushing.

$600 billion IP theft?  She simply used the sensational lie as a springboard to her new job as a Prime Time anchor.

If you haven't figured out the truth by now, just remember that these Americans are totally shameless.

If Boris Johnson is required to face criminal charges in a British court on his lying about Brexit, Trish Regan should be brought to a Chinese court to face charges for lying about Chinese IP thefts.

After Trish is sentenced to ten years of hard labor, go ahead and summon Trump, Pompeo, Bolton and Navarro -- the whole gang of lying thugs -- to face similar charges of intentional deceit in a Chinese court.

It is a great fault of some Chinese people that more often than not they make the mistake of respecting these American moral midgets merely on account of their official positions.

Instead, they should conjure up the latter's true images -- potential convicts dressed in prison garb sinking into dugout holes in a Xinjiang toilet.

Oh you're telling me you haven't been to one?

In that case just take my word for it -- it's not exactly a pretty sight.

Three decades ago the Japanese were alone as the only Asian nation with appreciable technological prowess to counter-balance the tech-savvy Americans in several areas -- like household appliances and front-wheel-drive autos.

As a defeated nation solely dependent on the Americans for military support, the Japanese couldn't resist the latter's bullying tactics and had to sign the Plaza Accord in 1985, resulting in their lackluster economy for the next thirty years.

Ironically, Japan's sworn enemy China now has the financial clout to do the Japanese some good in her new trading talks with the U.S.

The same team which negotiated the Plaza Accord in 1985 hasn't been able to repeat the same feat during the current round of trading talks with the Japanese.

Ask yourself why that is the case and what's the big difference this time.

Obviously China's rapidly-growing strength and her resistance stance set a good example and provided indirect support for Japan.

In short, China's rise serves Japan well and acts as a bulwark against America's unilateral demands in the trade talks.

Hey emanreus -- when you speak, the forum listens.

Trump really is very amateurish in politics, but that's precisely why he's dangerous, inasmuch as a toddler wouldn't know the danger of igniting match sticks.

The other day the Chinese spokesman said Trump was "playing with fire" -- the first time the Foreign Ministry had used such words for a long time.

I have to agree with him.

Turkey used to be the old Ottoman Empire, whose geographically straddling position disrupted East-West trade for centuries.  Ironically, its presence created conditions for the rise of Western Europe.

Now it is trying to revive its old 'glory' by demonstrating how it can get tough with major powers.  Its pride is going to prevent it from canceling the S-400 order whatever Pompeo might say.

The Iranian impasse is showing the world how fast the Middle East situation can change, but no matter what happens I think the S400s are still on track to arrive at Ankara according to schedule.
