Like I said, that on-going conflict with Chinese telecommunication network Huawei is just one example, as this "Five Eyes Family" feels threaten by it, so they would do all their best to keep others at the bay.
And that is what is all about!

There ain't no such thing as IDEOLOGY in the heart & soul of Colonialist-turned Capitalist Imperialism, other than chasing and following the self-interest of greed & extraction of great wealth.

Trump gave ZTE a second life, hoping the Chinese would do the right thing. Obviously they did not. Huawei didn't go to number one from being founded in 1987 without stealing of IP. Then you've Meng's bank fraud and espionage of Poland on top of all this. This is only the beginning.

Not bad at all; thanks 4 asking
Middle Kingdom does NOT need handing out food stamps to government employees missing out on One paycheck...

a] Chinese tariffs on U.S. agriculture, imposed in response to U.S. duties on goods from China, have caused crop prices to drop. For dry beans, dry peas, chickpeas and lentils — that means a cut of 30 percent to 60 percent.

b] As a small business, staff is forced to go on unpaid leave.  Private contractors working for many government agencies are also without pay, along with private companies that rely on business from federal workers or other consumers — such as national park visitors.
And unlike furloughed government employees who typically receive back pay after a shutdown concludes, they won’t be getting paid and employees are just out of luck.
Nearly one-quarter of all federal contracting dollars spent goes to small businesses.   S& Global analysts predicted that a government shutdown did cost $6.5 billion per week during 2013 shutdown...

c] Some parks may be accessible although the park service is providing no visitor services such as restrooms, facility and road maintenance and trash collection while others have been closed completely,
the shutdown is starting to impact private companies working with Government and outside of it.
Campgrounds have been shut because of sanitation issues...

d] Terminal B at Houston airport been shut due to unpaid (so called sick) security workers.
TSA; which belongs to Homeland security employs about 51,000 officers many of whom earn 30,000 a year... Terminal C at Miami closed as well caused by the partial government shutdown...

The State Department told employees they're going back to work with pay despite the partial government shutdown...
The department didn't say where it was finding money to pay its employees. It cautioned that "bureaus and posts are expected to adhere to strict budget constraints with regard to new spending for contracts, travel, and other needs".

Most non-US citizens working for the department abroad have still been working thanks to labor laws in their countries that prohibit unpaid furloughs...The Internal Revenue Service last week said it is calling back employees to issue tax refunds. And the Interior Department is summoning staff back to ready sales of oil leases in the Gulf of Mexico.
