President Xi is smarrter, he brought the military under his control, so there is no coup de'tat!

What is a “coup de’tat”?

Is that some kind of military tattoo?

A canal across the Isthmus of Kra has been considered since 1902. It would shorten the distance from the Middle East to China by linking the South China Sea more directly to the Indian Ocean. Perhaps the US (and India!) would oppose it. To me, it seems to be a good idea. It would not make China a naval threat in the Indian Ocean because any canal (including Panama and Suez) can be easily-blocked in war-time.
My problem is simple: I just know better than everyone-else!

Go take some geography lesson before talking here.

You have the right to show a map(or in words concisely , if possible ) about it. Right? Cos many of us could not find the clue.
What's on your mind... Backing to the starting point all over again, lots of challenges and full of temptations. Can you grasp the opportunity?
