"The guy is a genius and a national treasure"

National treasure? Overblown!

Of course he is an example of national treasure.

We shouldn't pre-judge anybody merely on the strength of an allegation whose details have yet to come to the fore.

The fact is the guy has added 160,000 high-tech-related jobs to the national roster, and he is widely acclaimed as a responsible leader who cares about his employees.

You don't become someone like him for no reason.

I think the Chinese government should help and not denigrate him at this stage of the game.

How?  By helping him with information about where to hire a top-notch attorney in the local community who knows the politics of Hennepin County in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) area.

Chinese society is presently infused with an anti-rich (chou fu) mentality so much so that any rich or powerful person is subsumed guilty before a trial is completed.

But this case involves the real-estate man's nation, and so the nature is different.

They can make a mountain out of a mole hill if we do not help Liu.

And that wouldn't be fair to our young crop of entrepreneurs who have a scant understanding of foreign laws.

Just the fact that he did not pay any bail bonds on a felony charge and was actually released on his own recognizance shows that they didn't have a case against him, but this can easily change now that it has become an enlarged POLITICAL contention, with his name and picture splashed on the front pages of every major U.S. newspaper, together with the photo of a voluptuous young woman who says she hadn't even gone to the U.S. in recent years.

It is obvious the media in both countries aren't going to let it go because of its sensational value.

It is at this stage that the Chinese government should step in and at least covertly provide him with all the legal help he needs to exonerate himself.

The man should be presumed innocent until proven otherwise.

He IS a national treasure!

National treasure? Overblown!

Overblown?  Hardly, my friend.

Wait 'til someone points an accusing finger at your head and see how you feel then..

My answer is in the filters.....
