You need to go back to school and study economics; trade is not a zero sum game; even the US deficit is not all bad, it means the US consumers are spending more buyimng Chinese products for quality and low prices because US does not manufacture many things its people want.  China is helping US keep its inflation down.

What is so unfair about open markets and free trade?

Here is one example (aside from IP theft).
China imposes much higher tariffs on United States exports than the United States imposes on China.
China’s average tariff rate is nearly three times higher than the average United States rate.
Certain products are even more imbalanced, for instance the United States charges a 2.5 percent tariff on Chinese cars, while China currently maintains a 25 percent tariff on cars from the United States.

Now the US has called for tariffs on China, you complain. Too bad, so sad.

Even though China has been a member of the WTO since 2001, China nonetheless continues to engage in predatory trade practices and intellectual property theft. In 2001, our trade in goods deficit with China was $83 billion. In 2017, it was a staggering $376 billion.

While all Americans have benefitted from imported low-priced products, the costs in lost jobs and reduced incomes have primarily fallen on America’s working class.

It’s time to level the playing field.

That's a cute way to lay the blame. How about 37 years tax break after tax break for the very rich?
That landed the USA in their current situation, $21 trillion in debt.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

I guess you missed the news less than two months ago.
Over 500 protesters arrested in the USA.

But not for their speech. Probably blocked a street. Protests must not be disorderly or inconvenience other citizens.
My problem is simple: I just know better than everyone-else!

“Lying is second nature to Trump"
The problem is that his base/followers believe him, if you look at his rallies the people seated behind him, their facial expressions say it all, they are not the sharpest off knifes in the drawer. A few days ago MSNBC interview some of his followers, and the best one was a man who got upset when they told him trump didn't start building the wall, the man said it's fake news, trump assured them at a rally that the wall is going on good.
Human lives mean little when those in the WEST see a bigger gain through war
