Except for the 'advice' from that South African, you can search genuine helpful info easily via Baidu.

I personally would suggest:

- Safety is priority.

1) Don't go to politically instable countries in Africa, espeically you're going to travel with your family if there are women, little children, older people. I would say to leave your old folks and little children at home.
2) Do have contacts of Chinese embassies for emergency concern.

- As I know, many African countries are former French colonies. You will have to speak French, or use Smartphone for translation.

- Sunglasses

- Mosquito repellent

- change-over plug

- Medications, i.e. Huoxiang zhengqi shui, etc.

- Small gifts. They love essential balms.

-Go to Lonely Planet, or other Chinese travel website for advice.

It depends on what holiday you thinking of, if you a nature lover, then I must recommend Botswana, 100% safe. Surf the web "Botswana nature reserves" there are many to choose from, Chobe lodge are the best one I've visited, and only a little English is required.
Of course there are some vaccinations you must have, and your local clinic will inform you of any other medical advise you need.
You won't regret a Botswana holiday.

Africa is the only continent I have never set foot on. I wanted to see the lava lakes at Erta Ale and Nyiragongo but the conditions are too grueling given my present state of health. I hope to see a lava lake in central America in July.
9/11 was an inside job.
No second plane. It was a bomb.Bomb in the other building.
You KNOW without a doubt the videos are fake, right ?!
Planes don't meld into steel and concrete buildings. They crash into them !!!!!!!
It's amazing how the building ate the plane !!!
Imagine those fragile wings cutting slots in massive steel columns !!!!!
How STUPID can they think the people are to believe that crap ??!!
