But this is sand in the gearbox of historiography. It is utter untruth.

Has China "lifted 700  ...

Respectfully, I do think we have some severe poverty here in Camada. Much of it is among the mentally-ill who  can't manage to interact with welfare agencies. Another group is the part of the indigenous population that is isolated on remote reserves where economic opportunities are scarce. There's no doubt that China has up-lifted much of its urban population; but there's much poverty in rural areas. All-in-all, the Chinese progress is amazing.
What's on your mind...

Chinese Young People Are Rejecting Communist Party Propaganda and the Government Is Freaking Out

Young people in China are rejecting Communist party propaganda for Western-style movie stars and celebrity culture – that’s the lesson behind the box office flop of a series big budget propaganda films according to observers.

When the movie Founding Fathers of the Army, which tells the story of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army, recently hit cinemas,  officials hoped it would inspire an outpouring of patriotic feeling—instead it was mocked for trying to use popular film stars to lure younger viewers.

The Chinese have a political system that works well for them.  The problem with yourself and other western people is that you compare the Chinese political system with Western systems.  At the same time we have a political system in the USA that encourages people like President Trump to rave on about "Blowing up North Korea'.  One might be tempted to think that The USA President Trump is very immature and not the sort of person that should be in charge of the USA.  Whereas we have the Chines system that would never make suggestions of war in the same manner that President Trump has suggested with North Korea.  The Chinese have a good system and would never have a person like President Trump ruling a nation.

R u from North Korea?  "Trump to rave on about "Blowing up North Korea." There is no warrant for such assumptions.  For all his talk of blowing off North Korea, Trump, who's by no means a ball-buster,  doesn't have the cojones to engage in a military showdown with North Korea. Why? Because he is another marionette subservient to his boyfriend Putin, who seems to have no trouble pulling strings behind the scenes. For this reason, it's no stretch to say Trump will keep calling North Korea's bluff, as is his wont, yet he is not going to declare war on North Korea without getting his  uppity boyfriend's consent.

Man, it would be foolhardy  to single out Trump like this or even suggest that most American voters are gaga over all his policies. To my knowledge, liberals take a scunner against him; that's why left-leaning new outlets like CNN, The New York Times and MSNBC jump all over Trump everyday.

You won't find this in China, where every news outlet has only one voice. To make matters worse, columnists in China would be in the slammer if they were gunning for party's strong men during the  session of the 19th Communist Party Congress in Beijing.

Altogether, it's critical for China to embrace a rules-based system in which people's rights are protected by law and personal powers are hemmed in by checks and balances.  And commoners or even the so-called booboisie should be given a chance to express their concerns and harp on venal officials' misdeeds. You can't pretend that everything is tickety-boo when legions of laid-off workers living in China don't even know what's in store for them.
