Do many Libyans yearn for the good old days of Col Gaddafi?
Today, yes.
The Gaddafi legacy is still strongly associated with tyranny and is a time that many Libyans do not necessarily want to go back to - but many also now feel it is the "lesser evil".
Civilians are yearning for stability and a time when their lives are no longer defined by the conflict that is tearing the country and its social fabric apart.

The west wrings its hands over dead Gaddafi photos, but war is always hell
Jonathan Jones       theguardian.com

But nothing in the photographs of Gaddafi wounded, dead, dragged through the streets, and finally on display, rotting in public, has been anything like as disgusting as the thoroughly hypocritical and self-deceiving international reaction to these pictures. Libyans did what they probably had to do. Their western supporters have moaned and groaned at the realities of war with no apparent understanding that through Nato we are participants in this conflict and so share its inevitable moral complexities.

And right they've been All along.
You must talk to folks which lived and worked there, yes foreigners indeed, from all over the world.

You know Nothing, only your keyboard and keywords...
The West, one day will be accountable for, for constantly interfering in sovereign Nation.

Just a small example on the side line;

The US did everything to convince  Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Libya, the Maldives and Mauritius to severe diplomatic relations with Qatar.

The blockade also challenges Qatar’s status as a reliable regional partner of the United States. Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region, is located in Qatar. Washington said that in the short-run the Riyadh-Doha row would not affect counter-terrorism cooperation.

The United States agreed a US$12-billion warplane sale to Qatar and began manoeuvres with its military Thursday, re-affirming support for the emirate in the throes of a diplomatic crisis with its neighbours.
