It has one big advantage. Safety!
No flammables on board that could harm passengers in rather unpleasant situations.
On the contrary why do people not have to buckle up in a Maglev.  
A crash at >400Kph probably leave only DNA flying around.
Twentyfive percent out of nothing is still nothing!
