Sure looks like it, as we both know that Chinese people do not apologize since it makes them 'lose  ...

I correct my wife's English now she is correcting mine

I have never met any Chinese apologizing for their 'bad English', because that would make them lose  ...

This is soooo very true!!
Stupid people are like Glowsticks. You want to snap them in half and shake the crap out of them until they see the light.
I love sarcasm. It's like punching someone in the head ... only with words

Sadly that's not my attitude. Definitely not!

I've had students say they don't want to try to speak because: 1) they are embarrassed, 2) they don't want to make mistakes, 3) they don't know the vocabulary, 4) they are intimidated talking to an native English speaker.

I tell them it doesn't matter... you learn from mistakes.  Correct and practice.  Just try... I'm patient and willing to help, that my job as an English teacher.

If I get apologies, it's always from an adult.  They apologize for their poor English... I usually say it's okay, I can understand what they are trying to say and counter with an apology for my less than stellar Mandarin... that usually results in smiles and laughter and breaks any awkward feelings.

I've insisted my wife corrects my grammar and pronunciation... and I'll correct her English.
