It seems that the people of Britain are finding out that in reality, their democracy was an accident, and those who pretended to go along with it, in the end, do not care to see it succeed.
ALREADY, the pro-EU/Anti-Brexit forces are threatening to sue the British government if it acted on the results of the referendum and triggered Article 50, without the prior consent of the Parliament, emphasizing the so-called "SOVEREIGNTY OF THE PARLIAMENT".
WHEN on earth did the public vote have to be subjecterd to the vote of the Parliament, when by the very principle of democracy, any act of Parliament that contradicts the will of the majority expressed in an official referendum, should be null and void, even before it is put to a vote by the Parliament?
If the Parliament is sovereign, over and above the people, then there is no democracy.
It is either an autarchy or an oligarchy, and if so, is in violation of the constitution, making its acts null and void to begin with.
