We need a balance but much what the US engages in is that of hegemony for personal reasons, not balancing for the good of mankind.

Let the world balance without the help of the US. The US is the world biggest donor in foreign aid (more than twice as much as the 2nd  biggest donor). Let that aid start at home. Time for the US to dig in and rebuild.

Yep, if there's one thing an old troop like me abhors, it's PC. I cannot abide it but due to overly sensitive politicians pandering to minorities, I have no choice but to not call a spade a spade for fear of prosecution. They are, however, still a digging implement.

I am insulated, somewhat, by my former rank and family status but still, I can be censured and this doesn't sit easily on my shoulders.

The US has been demonized long enough. Spent billions and has nothing to show for it. In the meantime, there are millions at home starving. In the end charity begins at home.
