Both Trump and Sanders eschew political correctness and the expected behavior of politicians beholden to The Establishment, and instead chose to campaign based on platforms that represent the ideals of their respective parties, an approach guaranteed to fail in ordinary times.

But these are not ordinary times.

Change is afoot, and if either wins their party's nomination, America, and the world, will never be the same again.  The great debate between capitalism and communism will surely resurface, particularly if both succeed in becoming their respective parties' candidates for presidency.  If they do engage in an all-out debate, and settle their differences by means of the ballot, then the true winner is American democracy, not as defined by the press in its narrow terms, and biases, but as envisioned by the founders of the American republic.  Only their success can guarantee that a government of the people, for the people and by the people shall not perish from the face of the earth.  Their failure, however, would put this definition of President Abraham Lincoln in serious doubt.

TRUMP WINS, WHILE SANDERS PIVOTS TOWARD AN UPSET.

The stage is set for the greatest debate in the 21st Century, between Capitalism and Communism, with an important deviation from the historical narrative.

It will be decided by the ballot.

THE DIVINE RIGHTS OF DELEGATES?

The visceral in-fighting among the contenders for their party's nomination has revealed to the public the bizarre, undemocratic, and oligarchical structure of the political system that was supposed to generate a democracy, of the people, for the people and by the people, but how?  Through the vote-less Republican party system of Colorado, where the grassroots don't even have to cast a vote - it is admittedly useless, as the result has been decided by their "delegates" which is an oxymoronic term, because a delegate is supposed to act in the interest of and according to the wishes of his or her master, the party, but don't really have to when the choice of their nominee is on the table.  Or, how can it be achieved, this democracy stuff, by having "superdelegates" as in the Democratic Party, who can vote irregardless of what the rank and file feels or prefers?  This used to be called the "Divine Right of Kings", but for this modern age, it may be called the "Divine Rights of Delegates" which is based on their personal enlightenment, whatever it means.

If America is to rid itself of this kind of democracy by delegation, then it will have no choice but to clear the field, and only allow those who truly represent their views, such as Trump and Sanders to enter into the holy ground of presidential election, for whoever wins this election must unwaveringly represent their will and not that of any combination of delegates, who no longer accept their delegation, but instead contravene such delegation, and insist on their right to vote according to their own whims, even if it contradicts that of their constituency.

It won't be nice, when Trump meets Sanders in debate, but isn't that the only debate that the public really needs in order to decide how to run a government that was created serve the people?

The demographics of West has not changed.  So, any effect of Trumpian politics will be temporary.  As the Caucasians in West continue to reduce in numbers and arrive at a certain threshold, a new Obama will be elected all over again, and then there will never be a Trump-like politician ever again in West.

The demographics of West has not changed.  So, any effect of Trumpian politics will be temporary.  A ...

The anatomy of Western democracy has been thoroughly dissected by the master surgeons Trump and Sanders, and they have laid bare the bizarre innards of the two party political system.  Not surprisingly, they look alike.  Outwardly claiming the mantle of public opinion, inwardly, each is built from the same skeletal structure of delegates, deputies and sugar daddies.

Trump has already made a grievous mistake in declaring that from now on, he can be bought, by saying he will accept donations, without qualifying - only from those who share his vision - for without this qualification, accepting donations indiscriminately is to simply sell out one's vision to the highest bidder.

Sanders may follow the footsteps of Trump, but this is unlikely.  He has declared his wish to stand his ground in Thermopylae, while Trump has thrown in the towel to the powers that be, admitting that his personal wealth may bring him the nomination, but only THEY can give him the election.  This is a major setback forTrump, as a candidate, and as a movement.  Making a pact with the devil may delay hell, but can not bring heaven any closer.

Trump's love for money is going to be his Achilles' Heel in the fight against Sanders.  He cannot resist the hundreds of millions that the Republican establishment is now willing to donate to him, if he would only tweak this policies here and there to favor their vested interests.  Against Hillary, it might not matter.  But against Sanders, he will lose his own base of followers to the enemy.  Sanders is the Democratic Party's best chance against Trump, while Trump is the Republican Party's best chance against Clinton, except that Clinton might just not get the party's nomination after all.  If Trump debates Sanders, he will lose, because on matters of policy, Sanders is better prepared.
