Maybe, the APEC in Manila scheduled for November 18th, should be called off, under the shadow of the Paris tragedy.  Manila is not known for the best security, one must consider.  These are very bad times.

How about a last minute move to Boao?

Boao is located on Hainan island, and Hainan means "Southern Sea" of China.  At least, everyone can agree that Hainan belongs to China?  Not so?

With the focus of the world now centered on IS terrorist attacks on Paris, and the change in the tactics of these criminals in attacking innocent civilians, as if it can be justified under any religious belief or code of honor, the concern right now in Manila should be, not just the protection of the foreign delegations, as is customary and mandatory, but also the protection of the innocent Filipino men, women and children, who are more likely than not to be celebrating the respect and prestige that hosting such an important event bestow on their country.

As the foreign dignitaries are supposed to arrive in the next two days, changing the venue may not be possible.  We hope that the APEC meeting will be a success, and that China will be given due recognition for its willingness to help advance the economic well-being of its neighbors, and its trillion-dollar sacrifice in not reacting to the currency devaluation war instigated by its most vocal critics, such as Japan.  If China devalues, it will not be in order to take advantage of its neighbors, but rather, in order not to be taken advantaged of by countries which have devalued their currencies by some 60% relative to the Yuan in the past 2 years, leading not just to severe contractions of Chinese exports and manufacturing, but also to the slowing down of its GDP annual growth rate.

Innocent victims of this slowdown inflicted on China by the Japanese devaluation of the Yen, include, unfortunately, the South Korean economy, which exports heavily to China.  But when China cannot export in return to the rest of the world, it also cannot import as much as it used to, leading to the deceleration of the economic growth of the Asia-Pacific region, more so of the East and Southeast Asian economies, but also of the Australian economy, through no fault and certainly no selfish policies of China.

It is time to pressure Japan to stop devaluing the Yen, start revaluing it back to the December 2012 level before Abe starting printing Yens like there is no tomorrow.  Because, his tomorrow is here today.  And it is not good for all of Japan's trading partners and neighbors.  Isn't it time Japan stopped waging wars on its friendly neighbors, even if they are "just" a blistering currency war that is initiated by the BOJ resulting in a 60% devaluaton of the Yen?  The media, if it is relevant and enlightened, should focus on the malignant cancer of Japanese Yen devaluation, and ask Abe what he is doing to heal the hurt he has done, not just to China, but also to the ASEAN, to South Korea and to Australia, indirectly by destroying the Chinese economy, albeit with the naive cooperation of its discombobulated bankers.  Yes, the press should PRESS ABE TO ANSWER, WHY IS JAPAN DEVALUING THE YEN BY 60% OR MORE, UP TO NOW, AT THE EXPENSE OF ALL OF THE APEC COUNTRIES?

WHY?  AND ALSO WHY IS THE WESTERN MEDIA TURING A BLIND EYE TO THIS ACT OF ECONOMIC WARFARE BY ITS FAVORITE AXIS PARTNER, AND DEMANDING THAT CHINA KEEP ITS CURRENCY OVERVALUED RELATIVE TO THE YEN, WHEN IT IS THE YEN THAT DEVALUED FIRST AND EGREGIOUSLY BEYOND ALL AVARICE AND IMAGINATION?

The G20 meeting has been drawn into the question of what should the world do about IS?

The Western media says Putin is willing to compromise, or was it Obama?  China tried to position itself as a force for peace and stability, and correctly reminded the world of the Islamic terrorists who have murdered countless innocent civilians and policemen in Xinjiang.  But, the Western media has stopped publicizing China's views on the Paris massacre, because China has weakened itself economically to such a large extent that it can now be safely ignored.

Keep up the charade of boosting the economy by raising the Yuan exchange rate for another year, and all Yellen has to do is sneeze and the paper dragon will be blown away.  It is really sad how China's soft power, hard power, and brain power have all declined in the past 3 years.
