There is a wishful element. But when Putin persuaded Obama not to bomb Assad and then Obama held b ...

Going by what you have said, you are only expressing your hopes, not a prediction based on weighed facts or evidence.
Another thing, Ted, one has to separate Obama from the real policy makers in the USA.
It is the effective policy followed on behalf of a nation that should be judged, not an individual, particularly one who is a figurehead and clearly not representative of the majority, as in the case of Obama or any US President really IMO.
Even though Putin is a better representative of his people's wishes, he alone does not make policy and take actions, though he signs off on it.
I think we should de-personalize the issues as much as possible and use the term for a country as a whole rather than the names of individuals. It is more accurate and less amenable to propaganda manipulation. what do you think?

Yes, policy-making is distributed among many people in most countries including the US. Among both bureaucrats and politicians. And these are subjected to pressures from lobbyists. The greatest pressure groups in the US are currently the right-wing wealthy and the Zionists. These have been Obama's enemies since he was first elected. However, I disagree that Obama is just a figurehead and not a representative of the majority. He has won the popular vote twice. That he is limited in his power and options is true. Perhaps more limited than Putin (but I do not know the details of Russian elite political infighting as well as that of the US - because the Russian media are more controlled by the elite group currently ruling Russia.
What's on your mind...

Unbeknown to most Americans and Canadians who get all of their information from the lamestream media, ISIS is not only not a 'threat' in any capacity to the US or Canada, it is a wholly fabricated mercenary army, trained and deployed by the CIA and Mossad to cause problems for countries that aren't compliant with the Judeo-American empire.

The so-called Jihadists of ISIS only ever attack countries whose governments haven't fallen completely under the thumb of Tel Aviv and Washington

American and NATO troops are essentially globalist cannon fodder, shipped halfway across the planet to fight unwinnable wars, against bogus enemies, manufactured in the propaganda caverns of the Pentagon.
