It will be a long hard way that chine can lead high tech in the world.
think about that , without intel , AMD & MTK where can we get cpu for PC and moblie .
we have to buy all kind of high tech from other country.....we have no choice.

China's problem is the "get-rick-quick" mentality of its officials and businessmen. They would rather spend their monies on real-estate and financial speculation rather than on innovation and technology. The technology and the talent are already there: Loongson for example is a China-developed 32-bit RISC CPU that could do the same job as the Intel, AMD & Mediatek CPUs. Huawei has been designing SoC's for two decades now. There are lots of IC design companies in Shenzhen doing embedded systems. What China lacks is a national ICT strategy to create industry standards for PC, mobile and wireless devices. In mobile, China was one of the first to have commercially-available Linux smartphones way back in the 90s. Now, every OEM just rely on Google's Android because it's free.

China should establish a national ICT standards body which would create the industry standards for mobile, PC, cloud and wireless devices, networks and systems similar to what Facebook is doing with its Open Compute Project. All companies whether local or foreign doing any business in the ICT sector must comply with the national standards based on the Loongson CPU and Linux OS.

Nice trains....is Japan technology???

That's like saying Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Acura, etc. use German technology because the Germans invented the automobile.

FORTUNE — One China defender recently claimed his countryman’s “bandit innovators” could be good for the world. That was small consolation for the Japanese, who say that China pirated their world-famous bullet train technology.

China bought OLD Japanese technology that could do only 200 KPH and remade it into NEW Chinese technology that could do 380 KPH. Kawasaki Heavy Industries doesn't have a legal case against CSR because they signed the legal contract authorizing the transfer of their OLD Japanese technology to CSR who then remade it into NEW Chinese technology. If they didn't want to transfer their OLD technology to China, they shouldn't have signed the contract in the first place. So there's nothing "pirated" in such technology transfers because China PAID for OLD technology whose patents have long ago expired.

Case closed.

CRH380 - The World's Fastest High-Speed Rail

Design of the Chinese CRH380 train

The design work was carried out in four main categories: schematic drawing, technological planning, structuring and building and experimentation. Based on the analysis, an optimised sub system design was put forward. More than 20 designs were shortlisted and were sent for further optimisation and simulation. Around 1,000 technical tests in 17 specific areas, such as dynamic performance, pantograph, aerodynamic and traction performance, were conducted.

The technology to increase the maximum speed of the train was discovered through research carried out at various universities of China and was fed into the CSR's design.

The body is integrally welded with aluminium alloy and is shaped with a fish head-like structure in the front. The rotating paraboloid wedge structure cuts down aerodynamic resistance and mean energy consumption throughout the runtime. It also increases the amount of regenerated energy.

The new generation high speed electric multiple unit uses the electro pneumatic compound brake mode in which the train will use most of the regenerative braking energy. In the mean time the traction motor will convert the energy into required power by means of a power generator. As a result of this the maximum power of the train increases by 50%, which helps in terms of exceptional energy saving.

The train is designed to be completely vibration free. The train bogies are designed to be safe and reliable. They can withstand and run through a critical speed of 550kmph. They are also incorporated with an advanced noise control technology by using new sound absorbing and insulating materials in the construction.
