The American needs to wake up from the reality that the cold war mentality does not exist in this century. China quests for economic growth is evident and the AIIB is a benchmark set for participating nations to own a stake in the growth. By being a clone within its closet writing and drafting cheques for World Bank & ADB, the US has been using mostly its military influence to garner friendship rather economic one. Now the US opt not to enrol into AIIB, yet it demands AIIB to consider co-operating with world bank & ADB as its face saving resolution. The Americans would have seen Chinese inspiration to have a voice in the global financial & economic stage, but limiting them from shared value and opinion, the US has now been sidelined for its narrow vision.
