The interpreter at the the press conference held at the 3rd Session of the CPPCC caught special attention on March 2. The moment occurred over the translation of a particular key phrase. When spokesperson Lü Xinhua answered a question from a journalist at the Hong Kong Phoenix TV Station, over China's anti-corruption laws, Lü replied by using a Chinese internet buzzword, ren xing, with reference to the Party's attitude in facing an increasingly challenging situation. At that moment, many attendees became noticeably worried for the young and lovely interpreter at the venue since it was obviously a new word and difficult to translate properly. Even in Chinese, the implied meaning of the word is also complicated. However, the unruffled interpreter looked calmly composed and asked Lü in brief about what the speaker wanted to express using this word. After a quick exchange, the interpreter finished the translation in an excellent way: '"We are all very capricious on this [anti-corruption],'" a sentence in which the word "capricious" in Chinese also shares the same sound, ren xing. Although after the conference some experts offered their own, even better translations, the young interpreter's on-site, quick response in such a  situation still impressed many.
