I don't think CHINA want to make too many world beating brands..........non threatening strategy, perhaps

I have personally seen the car but I haven't had the chance to test drive it. It looks like a really well-designed and solidly-built car. But I don't know how they're going to market it though. Against the BMWs, Mercedez, Audis, etc., Qoros is entering a tough market -- the luxury passenger family sedan -- is the most competitive auto market in China. Most Chinese brands have failed to crack that market against the German and Japanese brands.

There is some truth in most comments here. As for establishing a brand name it is extremely difficult without the movers and shakers in the West, hugely benefiting from it. I remember the days of the old USSR, any product they tried to export was derided by the Western media, even in fields where the USSR was superior to the West. I leave you with the prophesy from St. John's Apocalypse.

Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that hath the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

That about sums it up. Without the beast's approval one is shunned from the market. Unless the powers that be get the lion's share of the profits...... the product has little chance.
The world needs more idiots like me, all the others think they are clever.
