That is 8 ships for a basic carrier group and
That is 7,320 personnel
Now you need to times these numbers by 5. The Peoples Liberation Army Navy has no experience operating one carrier group, let alone 5 carrier groups. Where will all this experience come from at all levels of the rank structure.

this is where the numbers are under estimated... i estmate the numbers here to be much higher but, personnel cost is dirt cheap in china and no strikes of pickets for china to have to worry about so don't you worry...  the costs here are part of the landscape of the makings of what are kevin cosner's water world so don't you worry on our behalf...

by 2025, the number, based on chinese standards, will increase "not five times" as you hypothesis, more rather, if my suspicion won't be not track, it will instead increase 10 folds... don't forget: zhanghe had an armda of some 3000 battleships and frigates and that's centuries ago... i have to speculate that that have to be the rought number beijing is trying to target before she relax herself again...

what do you want for us to do with our cv-16, dusty? should we start launching air strikes randomly at anyone and everyone we feel like it with our flatdeck?

hey! that's (not the cv-16 way) dusty. our cv-16 is there for defensive purposes and for the maintainance of peace (peace not only for china, but for the whole of the asia pacific because the asia pacific is asia's turf) and as asians, we have a duty to ensure the peace there if it's within our means to do so.

bottom line: eat your heart out if you are in disbute or in disagreement with china's rise, dusty, because (life goes on regardless if you like our rise or not). simply put: you'll just have to put up with what life throws at you, dusty, because everyone have to!
