>one out of every nine black youths in the US is in prison.<|
If anything could be possibly worse, it's that the majority of these imprisoned blacks tend to be within the age of 18 to 30 or thereabouts - the prime time of their lives. Once imprisoned, their whole lives would likely be shattered, for that stain could mean further discrimination educationally, socially, economically, and politically. This type of lynching is little better than the traditional method of putting a rope around the black person's neck, for hanging might kill him, but not let him suffer for the rest of his life. But of course blacks are often not considered human unless they are pawns of the US ruling circles. The white murderers of the two blacks at Ferguson are not likely to face the death penalty. Excuses are already being invented, as always, that the dead blacks were not good people, that they stole cigarettes, or tended to be aggressive, etc. But all that shouldn't worry people, especially those brain-dead Chinese who often speak about "the rule of law." They should go to Ferguson, and many other areas where US minorities are located, and see "the rule of law" in action.
After George Bush Jr. stole the US general elections with the help of the US Supreme Court, there'd been a militarization of civil life, starting with so-called security forces such as the police. Today's police are not the nice guys who'd help old ladies cross the road or bring your cat from its perch up the neighborhood tree: they're often armed to the teeth, except that you often cannot see their teeth or even their face. The new police tend to hide their identity, often use machine guns, and drive in armored cars or tanks in the streets where poor people live.
The other problem afflicting the US is something Chinese compradors would love: the "market economy." Friedmanite ideology has spread to even the law enforcement sectors, from the selling of military weapons to the rise of private prisons. Privatizing prisons is one reason why the US has become the world champion in incarcerating people. If you operate prison for a profit, you need a market. And who comprises the market? The citizens, of course! Especially blacks and other citizens of color, including schoolchildren who could face imprisonment for simply acting in ways that angered the school authorities, such as writing unflattering comments of teachers and posting them on Facebook.
I can go on and on, but since it's like throwing pearls before swine - or the post-1978 Chinese "intellectuals" - I'll stop here. This message would be posted in other websites, however.
