1. China needs to be less anxious and more passionately confidently. Stop worrying about how people see you, start believing and living your own values. Doesn't mean closing the door to the world outside China rather its how to mix.|
2. Developing intrinsic value. Just what is this? It is nothing new. It has to do with the culture that exist from filial piety, to cultural festive celebrations to daily cultural livelihood especially sporting events. Honing these into good daily livelihood practices.
3. China's vision should not be just "China". With 16% population interest, it should have the single largest vote, assuming true democracy exist (it hasn't exist yet - if it has the votes in UN should reflect the population in number with about 30% population between India and China, they are tied to two meager votes only representing less than 2% in terms of total UN Vote, what joke is democracy about - utterly rubbish - it doesn't exist but it is a perfect tool for destabilization, otherwise how can a small population of 300 million or so rulers rule 7 billion?) but it has only less than 1%. It is not about egoism or chest thumping like Uncle Sam. it is about bringing about a better world but that cannot start from outside China. It has to start from inside China if the works are to begin from a Chinese contribution.
China's Tai Chi is a good example of cultural heritage. How is this being developed inside China, inculcated into your daily lives just like going to school or a movie or taking up a hobby? How is this embodied as a part of your daily lives, how are your schools adopting Tai Chi together with modern sciences, how your public is educated to understand the good that Tai Chi brings about etc., not just helping one's physical health - it teaches a sophisticated dailyhood application to get your fundamentals right (critical points/moves in terms of Tai Chi movement) and the rest will flow along just like the "Chi" Tai Chi movements are supposed to direct. Likewise your "Calligraphy".
Frankly, to China its a national shame that many other countries do better than your country in these. Japan is quite excellent in "Calligraphy". Even your PLA should excel in Chinese Calligraphy, its part of something they should protect and they can't understand why until they learn its intrinsic value.
