What's that to do with appreciation of Chinese arts? Chess was invented either in Persia or in I ...

"mahjiang is a Chinese game that is fast gaining a worldwide fan base. The CD recently reported that foreign players outperformed Chinese ones."

Table tennis was invented by an Englishman, but they have never outperformed Chinese players.

Yes, the Chinese tennis players... But Roger Federer still is Numero Uno!

Impossible for Robert Federer to be #1 in TABLE tennis if that's not his sport.

CHINA DOES NEED TO UPGRADE ITS CULTURE TO THAT OF A TANG-STYLE SUPERPOWER, RATHER THAN THAT OF A HONGKONG-STYLE COLONY, I.E., IT MUST EXCEL IN ITS OWN TRADITIONAL COSTUMES, LIKE THE JAPANESE HAVE GLAMORIZED THEIR KIMONO, PROBABLY COPIED FROM THE TANG DYNASTY, AS EVEN THEIR ARCHITECTURE REFLECTED THAT OF TANG ARCHITECTURE.

WEARING CLOTHES FASHIONABLY WAS TAUGHT BY CONFUCIUS AS THE SIGN OF A GENTLEMAN, BUT WE MUST UNDERSTAND, CHINA EMERGED FROM THE JAWS OF EUROPEAN AND JAPANESE COLONIZATION WITH BARELY ANY CLOTHES ON ITS BACK, SO CRITICIZING CHINA FOR ITS STATE OF UNSOPHISTICATION WITHOUT LAYING THE BLAME ON ITS INVADERS IS LIKE BLAMING THE VICTIM OF HIGHWAY ROBBERY FOR LOOKING SO SHABBY AND UNKEMPT.
