Oh, don't get me wrong. I do understand much of it around the world.

it's different on this board. the people here who try to 'teach' other nations really turn me off.
but americans, individually, are friendly when they try to teach me stuff. sometimes they are a bit arrogant, if you want to see it that way, but it is a forgivable kind of arrogance, because it is friendly and not insulting.
for example, i was playing pool for the first time, and i was there for many days trying figure out how to hold the pole correctly, but no one ever cared to show me how. then comes this american woman, i never asked her anything, but she just started telling me, here, you hold it like this, etc...and i said, oh, ok, thanks.
