MichaelM : I won't embarrass you on the blog, but, you really need to work on your grammar, word choices and punctuation. This makes no sense. "motivate ea ... Thanks for your detailed instructions! Most of them sound reasonable. But the first one is hard for me to understand! In China we often say teachers should do more to 'motivate kids' potential ability or power' (激发学生潜能)that is word to word interpretation. By the way, may I point out that too many Chinese students ... ...

Yes I am a fairly good guide with the Chinese students I accept into my home for free tutoring. Have worked with over 500 in my home in the years I have lived in China. Not even think of myself as a "teacher" not agree using that term. LOL

I think I did offend him. I wrote him and apologized to him if, in fact, I did offend. Not my intention at all. He wrote a blog and referred to 'M&M' who is a star blogger. Though what he talked about in the blog was not anything I said, I still feel that he might have been offended that I corrected his spelling publicly. I should think twice before posting any comments on here. I should have given him the correction privately and not publicly. I will be more careful in the future.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is any real way to tell a "native speaker" that his/her English sucks. They tend to get offended when corrected.

近几年来,国家恢复了许多传统节日,把这些传统节日定为法定假日,这是一种提倡,一种态度。过节是人的需求,一种文化和情感的需求。就像节日的问题一样,我觉得有些被历史与文化虚无主义所妄改的地名,也应该正本清源,还其历史面目。对于各地的历史地名,进行一次拨乱反正,也许正当其时。 我试译: In recent years, China has resumed many traditional festivals, and has made these traditional holidays as statutory holidays, which is an initiative and also an attitude. Festivals are human needs, especially a cultu ... ...

My life became devastated when my husband sent me packing, after 8 years that we have been together. I was lost and helpless after trying so many ways to make my husband take me back. I never understand what he meant by it wasn't a problem getting my husband back, he said he used a spell to get his wife back when ... ...
