Exercises! That's why I feel so energetic now. (1)

Several minutes ago, I told my friend my latest resolution, which will also be a present for my birthday on 28th, June, given by myself. Do you happen to know a famous female star named Yuan Shanshan, once be so hated by audience that they call upon people to expel her out of entertainment world but now back into sight with her abdominal muscle. Put aside how people change their opinion by star's figure, firm abs is what exactly I'm talking about.

Two years ago, I started brisk walking for losing weight. In actual fact, people don't choose it for weight loss because it isn't effective and it doesn't show great results in a short time. But back then, I was still a person who hated running so much and intended to spend as little money as possible for sake of saving money, which made going to a gym never become one of my options. After walking around the neighbourhood regularly like a month, an unexpected thing happened and I had to put all my energy into walking and let my body exhausted all the time to keep my brain away from heartbroken.

Oh, past! A lot of things happened in everyone's life, good or bad, encouraging or depressing. All one can do with those uncontrollable affairs is try to stay positive. Do something. Just do something. Again and again. Over and over. Until you go forward to next chapter.

Brisk walking, what a choice, isn't it?

There are two things I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anybody, exercising and reading. They are pleasurable and beneficial and one can do it one's entire life.
Recently, a friend of mine taught me how to do the very rudimentary form of Taichi, the "standing stance" (站桩). I never know just "standing" there could be so tiring.

Wow, Taichi! Good for you~Where do you do the standing stance?

As for reading, I would recommend it too. A friend of my came up with an idea of reading a book per month this year and I've read not only 3 books. In fact, as I started to gain a sense of joyment from reading, I desired to read more. And I began to realise how little I knew and how arrogant I was before.

One can do the standing stance just about anywhere that is quiet. For me, I often do the exercise out in the open, in the yard, but if the pollution is bad I'll do it in the apartment.
