Review of 2015: Choice and Action (2)

July
I went to Yunnan Province with my family. To be honest, I haven't gone out with parents for almost five years. I would rather travel alone than going sightseeing with them. That always makes me stressful and embarrassed to some extent. It is hard to explain. Maybe young adults like me always try hard to stay away from hometown and parents for so called freedom. Anyway, still a nice journey with family.

August
If it was not because CNR asked me to assistant shooting documentary, Hengdian -- the Eastern Hollywood -- would not be in my first consideration for summer vacation. The job of recording and documenting an activity was not as relaxing and interesting as you may think, but we staff still found various ways to entertain ourselves.
Another big issue for August is, not surprisingly, the Tianjin Explosion, which shocked me a lot.

September
I returned to CUC. But this time, I became a graduate student of International Journalism and Communication to earn my Master Degree. As the best class of our school, new classmates are all brilliant and competitive. I felt a lot of pressure and suffered insomnia at the semester beginning. But later on, I found that everyone is nice and I gradually realized that all I needed to do was to focus on my final goal -- being a good journalist -- and to study harder instead of being anxious all the time. Time will tell.

October
Except studying in school, I went to Tianjing to see the core area of Tianjin Explosion. Again, I went there alone and, to be honest, got nothing more valuable than seeing the scenery by myself. For the first time, I really got crushed by the sense of mission as a journalist. To see, to record, to remember.

November
I have to look though my Wechat Friends' Cricle to see what I have done in November. Paris Attack, Xi-Ma historical shaking hands, ISIS, and shooting for news works-- that's what my life consist of. International news became an important parts of my daily routine. Oh! Another thing. I watched the classic show Phantom of the Opera in Beijing Tianqiao Theater. Bravo!

December
Several writing works of me might be worthing recording down. One was digested by the wechat account of People's Daily which pleased my supervisors a lot. For me, I was not as surprised or happy as my teachers. That just happened. And one more thing, I found myself interested in communication theories and published some paper. But I stayed up late everyday and seemed trapped in sleep disorder again.

====================================================

Well, this is my 2015. I don't know how to define it. But recently, I think of Steve Jobs' "connecting the dots" theory more often.

" Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward. You can only connect them looking backwards, so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something--your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever--because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well-worn path, and that will make all the difference. "

There seems no doubt that people like to make up resolutions at the very beginning of each new year. Just as the ancient Chinese saying that president Xi Jinping once asserted in a public speaking goes, "After making a good start, we should ensure that the cause achieves fruition." Here, I'd like to give 26 key words to my target of 2016 and hope I can achieve all of them at the end of this year.

Wish you a splendid 2016.
