Three-year might make another story

Viewed 836 times 2019-12-7 12:05 |System category:News

Many years ago I learned one truth from an experienced farmer that goes as following: The pork price runs up and down like peak-valley in terms each period usually lasts three years. When the pig market was in peak state, the wise man decided to sell all animals and then have a good rest; when most farmers lost money on breeding, he began to restart the business at low cost for the young pigs from the market. In this way he could earn more money than others.
Just now the CCTV new program told me: The authority of the Agriculture-countryside Department estimates that it will 'three years' for China to fully restore the pig-production- ability!
Personally I don't think it will cost us so long time to have enough supply of the meat. The reason is simple: The huge extraordinary profit drives more businessmen invest large sum of money on breeding just as what has happened in the real estate industry in past two decades. The pork price will discount by half within one year. At same time I afraid that three years later pigs will become as cheap as cabbage due to overproduction if we ignore the risk on breeding. That is the rule of the natural market.

Thank you for the constructive comment. The note goes in simple words that is easy for kids to understand as a good text! I wish all articles in the textbooks are written this way by native writers. In fact those original foreign texts are not fit Chinese students due to the ‘strange’ contents which are far beyond students' comprehension. Kids enjoy the ‘domestic’ English articles which are closer to their own life. So that is ideal if Chinese educators produce powerful teaching materials those are a piece of cake for schooling.

I also do not think China should continue to use English text books.  Education to a nation is a matter of sovereignty.  To use foreign text book would confuse our kids' sense of identity.  One case is French computer input key board system is made French , different to US and UK.  Even English English keeps its difference to American English.   Korea and Japan have to use Chinese charaters , but reformed it to show a national identity in languages.    Chinese people have been reading too much  English, its time to change.    Good text books could be imported and read, but put them in library . The Chinese classroom should remain Chinese.   By the way,  China's kids have won quite a few of no. 1 in world contexts , in Math, Reading, Sciences.   It is time  to make better text books by ourselves.
