China's cyberspace regulator questions Nvidia over AI chip privacy risks
China's cyberspace regulator said it has asked U.S. semiconductor maker Nvidia (NVDA.O), opens new tab to explain whether its H20 artificial intelligence chips have any backdoor security risks.
The Cyberspace Administration of China said it met with Nvidia on Thursday after U.S. lawmakers called for advanced chips sold abroad to be equipped with tracking and positioning functions.

So, like Pretend To Work From Home, AI and Kraptocurrencies, it's designed to use up energy as well as prevent you from using video which might be copyrighted.
This is why I will NEVER EVER buy Microkrap again. Aliexpress is being inundated with buyers demanding Linux, including one message I saw threatening that if they delivered a mini-PC with Microkrap Windows installed, they'd send it back. I've contacted a retailer and they agreed that they can supply Ubuntu.
