P.T. Barnum denied that he said it, but it is true that there's a sucker born every minute.

gork

When are the Anglo/Jew gangsters going to stop with this puerile pantomime?!!??

DOGE isn't going to make blind bit of difference to the Great Satan's TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL budget deficit.

Neither will the trade deficit be effectively managed with these tariffs.

The ONLY OPTION is to adopt socialism and a gold standard; a system of money rather than credit. No "ifs"; no "buts".

UpWithYourHand

It is a tough war between two major powers, who will be the first to blink?

The S&P 500 Index soared 9.5%, rebounding from bear-market territory. The tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 surged 12%. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. economists rescinded their forecast for a US recession.

It's only a 90 day pause, probably to allow time to adjust and probably because bond yields are rocketing higher.

Most iPhones, for instance, are still made in China. If Apple were to pass on the full cost of the new tariffs – including the additional 50pc Trump threatened on Monday – it would double the US retail price of an iPhone 16 Pro Max, with a 6.9-inch display and 1 terabyte of storage, from $1,599 (£1,253) to $3,200. One way or another, Apple’s profits and/or revenues are about to get trounced.

Perhaps I've been unkind to the zionist Daily Telegraphic Nonsense. Perhaps they spout claptrap, unintentionally.

Na!

The import price is what the tariffs are applied to, not the sales price. As they're sold to Apple at cost (as I understand it) and Apple applies a HUGE mark-up, the effect on the price of an iPhone will be negligible. Perhaps that's why today, TASS reports: "Apple regains most valuable company status as its shares recover"
