1.  UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Donald Trump has repeatedly said he could settle the war between Russia and Ukraine in one day if he’s elected president again. Russia’s United Nations ambassador says he can’t.....

At a CNN town hall in May 2023, Trump said: “They’re dying, Russians and Ukrainians. I want them to stop dying. And I’ll have that done — I’ll have that done in 24 hours.” He said that would happen after he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin. And he keeps repeating the claim on the campaign trail....

Trump kept repeating the claim on his campaign trail that he could end the Russia-Ukraine war in one day.  Even though the world's number one clown's claim is an out-and-out rubbish, few people in the US care to comment on it because they are already "numbed" to all his self-aggrandizing claims.  He can simply say one thing now and another next.

Can America's self-proclaimed Messiah end Russia's misadventure in Ukraine in one day?  Yes, he can -- just by selling Alaska back to Russia.  Maybe he was really mulling the deal of the century, but dropped it after returning to reality from his little world of self-aggrandizement.

In Russia, the sale of Alaska to the US has brought back bitter memories.  Some Russian historians regard the transaction as a short-sighted blunder by Czar Alexander II, giving up Alaska's rich natural resources, particularly its oil and gas, for $7.2 million -- about $125 million (£100 million) in today's money.  Mourning the 150th anniversary of the sale of Alaska to the US in 2017, some hard-right Russian nationalists called for the territory to be returned.

If the Russian leader could meet with the B$ King to end his misadventure in Ukraine, he must not miss the chance to press for the return of Alaska to his motherland.
