Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve in Jilin province recently welcomed a heavy snow that turned the mountains into a white wonderland.

Tianchi Lake, located at the top of the volcanic cone of the main peak of Changbai Mountain, is surrounded by snow — and visitors taking pictures.

The lake usually freezes in December and the ice melts in late June.
