Asia stabelization is important. The US involvement in Asia is centered around 2 areas:
1) Korea: The ONLY reason Korea is divided, is to be a "buffer" against western troups (American) in the South.
2) Taiwan: China cival war is "unfinnished" business for China. US support for the island is to prevent China from gaining a foothold in the first island chain in the pacific.
In order to achieve this stabelization, a US China deal would work. In Korea, China could compel North Korea to unite with the South by moving in troups, then handing it over to complete unification of the country. Restrictions will be in place that will NOT allow foreign troups (America) in the unified country.
In turn America could send in troups into Taiwan to secure the island, then turn it over to China and complete unification of the country.
This deal will resolve tensions thoughout Asia and there would be NO need for American involvment in the region.
Such a reported deal would put America in a position to "put up or shut up". America would not agree to this because, American policy wants conflict in the area. But it will show American "double standard" it imposes on China.
