China's top legislature passed a law on countering foreign sanctions on Thursday to better safeguard the country's sovereignty, security and development interests.

China has been hit left, right and center by all manner of sanctions by the US and its allies, mostly based on unfounded claims, such as "genocide" in Xinjiang!

Now China is fighting back with its own law to counter these unjustified sanctions which are disruptive to normal international trade and business relations between countries.

US and its allies are meddling in China's internal affairs regarding Xinjiang, HK, etc, so how can you justify the sanctions imposed by them?

Turn the table round, if China were to impose sanctions on US for human rights abuses against its minorities, institutional racism against African Americans, would that be justified too?  Countries should avoid interferring in each other's internal affairs, there is no justification for that!

How do you justiy sanctions imposed on China based on some spurious claim of 'genocide' or 'forced labor' in Xinjiang?

Well wouldn't it be natural for every country to claim that sanctions being made against it were "unjustified"?

China's trade sanctions were in response to those unjustified ones imposed on it!  The new law empowers China to do more to protect its interests.

So China has not imposed any trade sanctions itself?
