A set of old photos unveils the charm of the earliest policewomen of the People’s Republic of China. Above is a group photo of all the whole female staff of the Public Security Bureau of Xuzhou, east China’s Jiangsu province in 1949. The picture is currently conserved at the China Police Museum.
