My grandfather was a POW at Stalag 2A Neubrandenburg Meckenberg and he mentioned to me that some of the other prisoners in his camp were from the British Air Force.

Tower to Airbus waiting start clearance;  "Are you an A320 or A340"?  Captain - this is a A340! Tower - may we than suggest you also start engine 3 and 4!

Sorry to hear about your dad Austin. My dad a WWII vet who landed at Normandy on D-Day died two weeks ago
