Maybe in Shanghai, Beijing and others big cities. But if you going into the inner land of Guangdon ...

The legal minimum wage in Guangdong is 1000 RMB per month but I guarantee you will not find workers willing to accept that anywhere near a big city and to be viable in manufacturing a company of any size needs to be close to or in a big city. The infrastructure is not good enough to set up a big factory in the misddle of nowhere.

In Shanghai the minimum wage is 1850 RMB per month but you will not get any more than a very basic worker for that, the cleaners in our office block are on 2400 RMB and the security men at our appartment are on 2500 plus free accomodation. On top of this the employer  need to pay the insurance payments to the local government.

We have had people turn down basic office jobs on a salery of 3000 RMB per month as it was not considered enough and that was from people that had never had a job in their lifes.

You can always find place that you can  get a cheap! labor in China.

Go to Jiangxi you will see p ...

Minimum wage in Jiangxi is between 950 and 1250 RMB a month depending on area, again the cheap labour adds to logistic costs etc. Also most businesses need more than the cheap labour and it is very hard to recruite the tallented managers in these back woods places

China aircraft industries.
Xian
Chengdu

Where is the relevance of population on this score?

How many Chinese made aircraft are sold compared with non Chinese made?

Most of the aircraft used by Chinese airlines are Boing or Airbus

True different system man. The old  Chinese model of education  just read and read with  no hands  ...

Not true.

My 10 year old has just been for the tests to enter middle school in Shanghai.

Many many kids had spent weeks being coached for these tests in extra classes ( paid for, not at school ), these classes did not teach the kids anything much, it only told them what would be in the exam and how to answer the questions.

Every day she comes home and part of the homework is to learn word for word a page in her English or Chinese book, it does not require them to understand it, they are not expected to ask questions just to repeat it parrot fashion.

Free thinking needs to be introduced at an early leval, if left until higher education it is too late
