I have also noticed this phenomenon. I know there are some stores which sale second hand stuff in some developed foreign contries and to-buy-them is also a fashion trend. People call it, vintage. I like to buy those second hand things, cause they always make me feel that they have their own stories. I bought it so that I  not only owned a stuff to be used, I also bought a story. I also asked my cousin who has good fashion sense to give me her old but beautiful clothes. And finally I found out that I have the same style as she has. My mother can't accept this thought. She believe if a person wear others' old stuff, she or he will get some ailments from them or get some misfortune.
