HOW BRITISH DISINFORMATION VIA AUSTRALIA CREATED A DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR AMERICA AND CHINA INSTEAD OF STABILITY AND PROGRESS
The "Pivot to Asia" strategy was championed by then Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in 2011, whom China had regarded all along as a friend and almost like a family member, due to his fluency in Chinese.
He argued that the argument of China that it is not a threat to other countries because of its historical aversion to invading other countries, is inadequate. Why? Because China is a rapidly rising world power, and its rise creates uncertainty. And therefore, this uncertainty is a threat to the rest of the world, especially since China is a non-English-speaking, non-Western, and non-democratic country. In short, based on his supposedly superior knowledge of Chinese civilization, history and current political thought, plus a passing familiarity with the recent generation of Chinese leaders, including Hu Jintao, Hu Jintao, and Hu Jintao, he cannot but warn the US that China is indeed a dangerous threat, if not to the US, then at least to Australia. It never occurred to him, perhaps, that if China cannot even retake a tiny island such as Diaoyudao, a mere 200 miles from its coast, it would be a STRETCH of the imagination for China to land any meaningful force on the shores of Australia that is nearly 5,000 miles away.
By kicking out Kissinger from the circles of inner counsel, America has done itself a great disservice, particularly in replacing his far deeper knowledge of Chinese history, and acquaintance with practically every generation of Chinese leadership, from Mao to Xi, and their second tier leaders as well, with the opinion of an Australian Briitish loyalist, whose first priority is to preserve the Briitish empire, rather than the peace and prosperity of a renegade colony, called the United States of America.
To repair the damage caused by this Pivot to Asia, that has seen the reckless annexation by Japan of China and Taiwan's Diaoyudao islands, followed by Japan's absolute refusal to negotiate with either on the status of their sovereignty, followed by pronouncements from the highest circles to the lowest rungs in America that Japan will be defended in this act of aggression against both China and Taiwan, and topped with Japanese Prime Minister Abe's brazen and boastful worshipping of Class A War Criminals in December 2013, war criminals who were responsible for the mass murder, preceded by rape and torture in many cases, of some 35 million innocent Chinese men, women and children, calling it his "duty", the country needs a true American statesman, not an Australian substitute, to defend its national interest, because the window for peaceful resolution of this accelerating crisis is about to close any time. And Japan knows, it has the trigger to make it happen, regardless of Washington's wishes and China's warnings.
There is no T. E. Lawrence of Arabia in China. It takes a lifetime of learning to know the thoughts and priorities of the Chinese leadership and its people. Learning a language takes only a few years. Nobody can claim to understand China, as a threat or a friend, based on his knowledge of the Chinese language alone. It requires decades of interaction with Chinese leaders of several generations, and it requires an American to truly look out for US national interests.
