Sohu.com reports, a guy from Hebei Province was planning to propose to his girlfriend with a gigantic self-built transformer. It took him over 10 months to draw 400 sketches and build a 8-meter tall transformer with over 50,000 rmb worth of stainless steal boards and over 40,000 screws, which weighs about 1 ton.

Personally, I’m not that into transformer no matter how big it is. But what this suitor has paid is far enough to touch a girl’s heart. I’m eager to know what my marriage proposal will be like.

Can you predict whether the guy is succeeded? And would you please share the unusual marriage proposals you have witnessed?

I hope both of Them enjoyed it :)
And THIS is most important.

The same "waste of time and money" like any kind of art, or no-utility DIY (because cheaper and quicker is to buy).

But please look closer... because it is so special, now we are talking about it, and I think many other people too.
Who would talk about cheap (at list not a sky high expensive) golden ring, or a couple of red envelopes as a proposal gift?

Some people play the piano... what a waste of time to learn it, what a waste of money to buy it, if it is  not for commercial purposes... But maybe somebody likes it? Is it the "waste" then? Isin't much cheaper to buy some decent audio equipment and top-quality CD's? Yes, what a "waste" :)

So, I dont agree with You, futsanglung... in this particular case

so many time and energy he devoted in his "plan" was enough to prove that he loves his girl friend very much, because he is willing to sacrifice his time to do something for the one he loved. and I also believed that the girl would be touched deeply when the moving secene came into her view. But when mentioned marriage, maybe the girl would also take many aspects into consideration. Anyway, let us bless them..
