Ryōji Akiyama is a Japanese photographer in 80s. He had a album called "Nice to meet you, little friends" which was a collection of Chinese children in 80s. The sino-Japanese relation is always sensitive. In 1982, Sino-Japanese relations made considerable progress. But there were still problems between two nations. At that time, in order to consider about the nation's development and the future, China decide to develop a youth-to-youth friendship. This unofficial comunication achieves a good result.
However, China and Japan always have different opinions on territory and the identification of historical problems. The contradiction will be last for a very long time.
In my opinion, Japan should be treat the historical problems in a right way. Covering the truth will lead Japan to a wrong path.
Look at the following pictures, you will feel the peace between China and Japan at that time. Also you can see the living style of Chinese children in 80s.
