Children in the acrobatic troupe do daily trainings. (vip.people.com.cn/Liang Hongyuan)

There is a group of children in an acrobatics arts company in Nanchong, southwest China's Sichuan Province. The youngest is six years old, and the oldest is 17 years old. In this hot summer, the most important thing for them every day is to do training. In the rehearsal hall, they wear the same costumes, feet in feet, squatting on the ground in a circle to form a bud shape. With the music and light, the youngest performer step on other performers' bodies, going upwards from the bud center - the whole scene shows a 3D effect of a "bud blooming".

Blooming bud is one of the quality shows performed by Nanchong acrobatics arts company. It is a kind of jujitsu, performed by six children with an average age of less than 12 years old. In addition, blooming bud has a deep meaning. At present, there are 33 children in the training center of Nanchong acrobatics arts company. As long as they keep on training, they can achieve their blooming season in the future.

Wang Yaping, 16, is from rural area in Shunqing District, Nanchong. Four years ago, she was sent to the acrobatics company to receive training by her parents. At the beginning, she had no acrobatics skills. Many children who came along with her had left because of the tough training. She could not stand the pain brought by high intensity trainings, and she had cried and thought about giving up. However, due to the "force" from her parents and encouragement from the teacher, she gradually gets used to the life.

Wang Yaping tells us their schedule every day. "Every morning, we have to get up at 7 and go to practice the basic skills of acrobatics until 11:30: handstand, somersault, and so on. At 3 p.m., we begin to rehearse the shows we have acted before till 5:30. After supper, we start to have academic classes at 7:30, which include mathematics, Chinese, and English. We have teachers specifically for us. They will teach us two hours every day. After class, we have to practice basic skills for half an hour before going to bed." Every day, they live in acrobatics; their life is melted with acrobatics. When insistence becomes a habit, they do not feel tired or bitter any longer. On the contrary, they will be happy when they perform well in the training, and be proud when they have a chance to be on stage.

In the conversation with Wang Yaping, we noticed that there are two red bumps on her wrists. We thought it was caused by falling in training, and asked her: "Is it painful?" "Not painful now," Wang Yaping laughed and reached out her hands. It turned out that the red bumps are thick calluses. To have a close look at Wang Yaping, years of training left lots of calluses and scars on her legs and arms. "I hope I can be a professional acrobatics performer, and get the 'Golden Clown' award in the future," Wang Yaping said shyly. "Golden Clown" award is the highest award in acrobatics field.

Since its foundation half a century ago, the Nanchong acrobatics company has trained a large number of children like Wang Yaping. It is known for a number of quality acrobatics shows including "Silk skills", "Ball game", "Jazz hat", and "Five people jujitsu". Since 1990, Nanchong Acrobatic Troupe has given performances to many countries and regions on cultural exchange, including the former Soviet Union, Finland, Singapore, the Philippines, France, the United States, Mexico, Japan, Australia, Greece, and Hong Kong. In addition, the troupe also has year-round resident performances in Shanghai, Chongqing, and Beijing. Many children who want to leave their homeland and watch the outside world have realized their dreams.

This summer, our reporter came close to Nanchong acrobatic troupe, and recorded the hard stories of these little acrobatics performers in such hot season.
