My dad is always nagging about the days when he and my mother got engaged. At that time, he nearly did all the house work from doing laundry to tidying up rooms. The saying "you marry a woman, and you marry the whole family" is the right motto for my father. {:soso_e120:} Since here we have many foreign sons-in-law in this forum, so I wonder what do you usually do to flatter your Chinese mothers-in-law, and share us several your precious tips!!

I guess I'm lucky with my mother in law. If her daughter is happy, she is happy :) She doesn't interfere with our lives at all.

PS. After 7 years I have yet to find out what she would do if I made her daughter unhappy {:soso_e101:}

Well.........we have stayed with her and she has stayed with us and all survived. I'm pleased to say we live an idyllic life and MiL know her daughter is well looked after.
