I usually wash it until water is clean (changing water few times) to remove "rice flour" - then it is less "sticky"

when I have to make it "more sticky" - I wash 2-4 times, not until water is clean

...but I'm not an expert

Don't wash rice too many times, since water-soluble vitamins such as B1 and B2 will be lost.
One time is enough.
